Travelers fall into situations where they need to cancel their car rental reservations for many reasons. Flights get cancelled, families have emergencies, and companies postpone their business trips. When, for any reason, you have to make changes or a cancellation of a car hire reservation through CarHireX.com it is important to understand the specifics of our policy so that you can be reimbursed (if possible) and avoid any extra charges.
Timing is everything when it comes to canceling your reservations and getting back as much of your money as possible. In the instance of a car rental through CarHirex.com, any cancellation made within 48 hours of the car rental pick up time will not be reimbursed. Waiting until the last minute will cost you. In most cases however, CarTrawler will reimburse you for all but 3 days of your rental agreement and a small card processing fee.
All cancellations must be made through CarTrawler and only CarTrawler when you need to cancel a car rental through our Booking Engine. If you attempt to cancel your car hire reservation directly through the car rental company you may incur additional charges.
