The Gibraltar Museum is a real interesting attraction for tourists. Founded in 1930 by Governor Alexander Goldley, it was intended to be the residence of the Main Artillery Officer of the time, sat over one of the best preserved Arab baths in Europe, known as the Moorish Baths; later on, these baths were added to the museums features.
Undoubtedly it has been a rich heritage left to Gibraltar, boasting a skull replica of the famous “woman of Gibraltar”, the first evidence of Neanderthals in Europe, back in 1848. The museum also includes a number of items from the caves of the Rock.
Come in a Gibraltar car hire to witness also its many expositions of the different civilizations that have built history in the Rock, such as the Greek, Arab, Roman, British, Phoenician, and Spanish cultures. All this is only to name a few of the interesting features of the museum, come and see the rest it by yourself.
