I was asked by a friend to suggest one simple yet interesting tour in Torremolinos. I personally enjoyed the city, and there’s a unique tour I might recommend that will allow my friend and other visitors interested in the lovely Torremolinos.
A rental car in Torremolinos can help you a lot. Start in the Isabel Manoja Avenue, where the very first street of the Calvario starts. It’s funny because I was told calvario means something like torture, yet the place is so charming, but I think the name is actually for the Bible meaning of Calvary.
Up this street you may admire to your left a series of stairs leading to old houses surprisingly still there in some cases. In the Fernando de Prados Street you’ll see one of the most famous fountains in Torremolinos bringing water directly from the springs. It is often to see a line of people to take some of the treasured liquid to enjoy all week. There are also many snack stores, hostels and bars if you wish to have some of the local tastes.
This is a town I personally love in Torremolinos for it still keeps the traditional environment of the city in houses, streets and buildings.
