How To Select The Perfect Destination

Selecting the perfect destination for your next trip can be both fun and frustrating.  Of course, a happy traveler will enjoy discovering just about any new destination, but its the people we're traveling with that often make these decisions more complicated.  To appease the travel needs of a variety of vacations below are my suggestions for choosing the perfect destination by car rental.

Couples

Romantic destination suggestions are easy to find.  If you're looking for that we have some excellent suggestions in our Honeymoon Holidays travel guide, but I suggest couples build vacation memories through adventure, and (as a mom) take advantage of all the things you can do without the family.  Try a Wine Tasting Destination, learn some Yoga, or combine adventurous days with cozy nights at a Winter Ski Resort.

Families

I think families have the most fun together when the options are actually more limited, as opposed to the typical all-inclusive resort vacation with "something for everyone" where everyone goes off in their own direction.  Get some quality bonding at a Destination off the Beaten Path.  Close enough to major cities and airports for convenient travel by car rental but far enough away to escape your normal routine, sometimes the best tourist attractions are the ones not listed in any guide book.

Formal Groups and Business

It's hard enough to pick a place for people you've known all their lives, but what about people you work with?  Or travel companions you have never met before?  I say you can never go wrong with any group in a cheap 7 seater car rental with directions to the nearest museum.  In fact, some museums are so fantastic as to be reason enough to select a destination, and we have a list of the Top 10 Museums.  Aside from the hours and even days the right museum can engage your group, I advise professional retreats to choose a destination where they can plan scheduled group activities and tours.
