Many travelers interested in renting a car have questions about the various car hire policies, and one of the policies that often comes up for our customer support chat specialists is our Driving License Policy. Here at Carhirex.com we want to make our policies easy to access and are more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
If you're studying for your driving test because you have a big road trip planned for next season and you want to rent a car we have bad news for you: all car hire drivers must hold a full license for a minimum of 1 year with no major endorsements.
One commonly unknown aspect of the car rental Driver's License Policy is that you must have a license that is in Roman Alphabet in order to rent a car from Carhirex.com. Therefore, if your driver's license is in Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese you will need to also carry an International Driver's License.
UK license holders need to bring both their driver's license photocard as well as its paper counterpart when they pick up their car rental. Lastly, you will need to have a proof of home address to rent a car as well.
For more information on our Driver's License Policy or other policies regarding a car hire purchase through Carhirex.com please see our section Booking Engine Terms and Conditions and click on the link that says "Rental Conditions". This can be found near the end of the booking process, just before you confirm your booking.
