Winter Skiing in Finland

The biggest resorts in Finland are Levi, Ruka, Pyha, and Yllas, though they will still seem quite small if you're used to the large, commercialized resorts elsewhere in Europe.  Predominantly located in Lapland, these resorts above the Arctic Circle are the world's most snow-sure even though they are at relatively low altitude, with a nice long season but quite short days.  Many offer floodlit night skiing to help you get in a full day on the slopes, or you can postpone your Winter ski holiday until the early Spring when the days are a bit longer and sunnier in March and April.
