Perhaps the main attraction in Glasgow city is the view of its imposing Victorian buildings, not for nothing it has been defined as the most sensational Victorian city in Europe.
When you drive in a Glasgow rental car to the east of the city you'll find its Cathedral. Glasgow was actually developed around this important spot; its rich architectural legacy is due to an industrial past, dominated by textile and ship magnates.
I, myself, am a music lover, and Glasgow was no disappointment. It's a place where the musical culture can be found around every corner. The city houses fabulous concert stages where the best national and international bands have seen their beginnings and continue to play. Every day of the week there's a number of places to choose from for a nice good music concert.
I recommend you to rent a car from Glasgow Prestwick Airport, so this way you'll have the freedom to tour around, especially if you visit one of the islands, like Arran or Skye.
And of course, I could not talk about visiting Scotland without inviting you not to miss Highlands and the Ness Lake.
