When I decided to make a trip to Turkey I had a very clear idea envisioned in my head, and one of the places I wanted to visit was Olympos.
When I got there I was completely speechless, it wasn't exactly what I expected, it was even better, I might say. I thought I would encounter a place full of ruins through which you could imagine some ancient city, however, it was pretty different from that. Olympos is a fantasy site for its nature, more than for its ruins. In spite of its antique history and ruins to prove it, the most impressive thing here is the landscape, truly speaking, it's amazing.
Located within a spectacular beach, with a beautiful creek. The ruins mix up with nature, amongst colourful flowers and green vegetation.
Plus, the ruins are always open; there is a fee, though. Olympos beach is huge, I loved touring the shore contemplating the fullest of the view, just listening to the sea and the birds, and at least when I went it was pretty calm and private.
I recommend visiting Antalya and touring around, enjoying the surroundings. I felt so free in a rental car through Antalya, Turkey.
