Skiing in Davos, Switzerland
When in 1880 a group of Norwegians brought a pair of skis to Davos, a city known so far as a beach resort, only a few thought of the significance this event would have.
In fact, this meant the birth of ski tourism in the region so in 1931 the first railway dedicated exclusively to skiers was open, and in 1934 the first ski lift in Davos was built.
But let’s talk about today. The fact is that Davos is one of the top ski resorts in Switzerland, with a great skiing area, long pistes and fantastic levels with ideal conditions to ski.
