The Clarence Hotel is clear representation of the youngest and patriotic Dublin, and it is also a beautiful viewpoint from where to appreciate the Liffey River, in the middle of Temple Bar nightlife.
Since 1852 this exotic hotel has hosted the visit of interesting personalities from here and there.
But it wasn't until 1992, when Bono and The Edge, U2 leaders, bought the place and gave it a touch of Irish glory and past. Their vision of the business is full of contrasts, evident in the interesting materials combination, American white oak, Italian limestone, leather, velvet... and a very quaint mixture of sensations ranging from the traditional to the innovative.
