London's Big Ben

Because of its imperial past and its vibrant presence, London is a city worth visiting as much as you can. The history of the United Kingdon and it's huge colonies is written all over London't streets. And when you think of London there’s no way of ignoring Big Ben. Its name poses confusion, Big Ben is the name of the 14-ton huge bell, and not the name of the actual building.  Sir Benjamin Hall, was in charge of the work and named it when the bell was hung in 1858. You can't miss Big Ben when visiting London. It is on the north bank of the River Thames in front of Westminster Bridge, with the Houses of Parliament on Parliament Square in the London borough of Westminster.
