Piazza Vecchia, Bergamo

Bergamo is a city just a step away from Milan, on my way to Milan after touring Spain I decided to land in Orio al Serio Airport and visit Bergamo, instead of just going straight to Milan. I opted to rent a car in Bergamo, tour the city and then drive to Milan.

It was a great decision because I got to see a fantastic place, people don't talk about Bergamo much but they should, its atmosphere, especially in the Old City, delighted me.

Visiting its buildings at night was a special kind of charm. Behind Piazza Vecchia, and after seeing the library building, which is amazing, you can pass by the Palazzo Podestá and you'll reach the Duomo's plaza, an authentic jewel.

Don't miss the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Coleoni Chapel, two pieces of architectonic art.
