Lake Iseo in Bergamo

Lake Iseo is located next to the Oglio River, 185 metres above the sea level. To get to the lake from Bergamo, drive your Bergamo car hire taking the A4 highway towards Venice, take the Palazzolo exit and follow indications until Sarnico.

The ride is of around 20 kilometres. The lake itself offers a very picturesque image, wild and romantic at the same time. Featuring one of Italy's most charming views.

For years it has inspired poets and painters, and it has been a gathering spot between people from Bergamo and Brescia.

This is the smallest of the Alpine lakes. Right in the middle of Lake Ieso it's Mount Isola, the biggest lake island in Europe, along with two smaller ones, Loreto and S.Paolo.
