Nothing puts a damper on your vacation like getting lost driving your rental car. Now for around $12 dollars a day you can add GPS to your car hire, making it much easier to find your way again. Nearly all car rental companies now offer some sort of GPS or Satellite Navigation System as an option, with the systems varying a little from company to company.
Budget and Avis car rental companies offers where2 GPS by Garmin starting at $13.95 a day. In addition to turn-by-turn directions it provides real-time traffic alerts and hands-free calling when paired with a Bluetooth enabled phone in your rental car.
Hertz rental car offers the NeverLost system starting at just $11.95 per day. It allows you to plan your trip online and then transfer your plan via USB memory drive to the rental car's Magellan GPS. The system also has a Hertz Airport Return feature that well lead your rental car back to the airport.
National car hire offers the Garmin StreetPilot c330 GPS units. They feature a simple touchscreen interface with automatic rouge calculation to any destination and text-to-vioce spoken directions. They include a rental car return feature as well.
Some car hire companies offer GPS from all their locations and some companies only offer GPS with airport car rentals. Along with other options to enhance your vacation such local cell phones, ski racks, or necessities such as Child or Infant Seats, Navigation Systems can be reserved at the time you reserve your car hire. Look for these options to add in our booking engine, after you have selected your location, pick-up and drop-off times and vehicle. Special equipment can be selected now, but must be paid for locally when you collect your vehicle. All special equipment is subject to availability
