The streets around Alicante Airport are packed with taxis and busses, but you can avoid the confusion and get on with your tour of the area with your own Alicante car hire. From Alicante you can easily visit towns such as Benidorm, Calpe, Altea, Murcia, or other cities around the Costa Blanca.

Begin your tour of the sights with the massive rock of Calpe on the Costa Blanca. You can get there by the AP-7 highway or the lovely, scenic N-332 national road, which runs along the coastline from Alicante.

Head to Benidorm for skyscrapers and sand. The contrasting cityscape of this town is a main attraction in the area, where a city skyline matches right up with strands of beaches. Located just 45 km northeast of Alicante, you can easily reach Benidorm in your Alicante rental car.

Enjoy the scenic journey along the AP-7 which leads up to the 1558 m high mountains that border Benidorm. This road continues to Altea. You will also want to visit Murcia and stop at any of its over 200 beaches, reaching to both the Mediterranean and the Menor Sea. To reach Murcia you can take the national road E15 from Alicante, or head towards Madrid on the C415.
