Buda Castle in Budapest

Without any doubt, Buda Castle is one of Budapest’s most known images, along with the Chains Bridge. The castle is also known as the Royal Palace, because in the past it was residence for the King and Queen of Hungary.

Today, Buda Castle houses the Széchenyi Library and the Museum of History. For me the best about the castle are two things: the first one would be its impressive combination with the Chains Bridge, especially at night when it’s lighted, and the second thing would be the great views it offers from above the hill, almost comparable to those obtained from the Fisherman's Bastion.

Besides the castle itself in the Buda hill, you will also find very interesting narrow streets that will make you enjoy the whole atmosphere even more. If you hire a car in Budapest Airport, you may enjoy the whole city and surroundings in comfort and freedom.
